A first-generation student from Omaha, Nebraska. I graduated from Nebraska in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s in English and a minor in Film Studies. I joined the SSS TRIO Scholars Program in the Fall of 2022 as their Academic Retention Specialist with the goal of giving students a safe space to speak their minds and an avenue to become who they want to be. When I was a student, OASIS was my place to socialize with other students, gain skills through organizational involvement, and speak to professionals when I needed a listening ear. I hope to do the same with my time here at SSS. If I can motivate students to keep going on their journey toward their diplomas, I have done my job. For any student or staff that wants to talk about life, movies, or music, my door is always open.
