The Office of TRIO Programs, through its component programs, assists eligible students stay on course of the academic pipeline from middle school through a baccalaureate program.
Educational Talent Search (ETS) serves eligible students from middle school through high school, while Regular Upward Bound (RUB) and Upward Bound Math-Science (UBMS) caters to those in high school. The five middle schools in the Lincoln community that ETS serves are: Culler, Dawes, Goodrich, Lefler, Mickle, and Park. The three high schools are: Lincoln High, North Star, and Northeast. Student Support Services (SSS) serves eligible college goers who are enrolled towards their baccalaureate degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
One of the primary eligibility requirements to be considered as an applicant to one of our programs is for the child to be a US citizen or a permanent resident. Some of the other criteria include an applicant to be the first person in the household to attend college, or the federal income level for the household, based on the family size, must be at or below the following:
